It’s been a year and a half since Alex Crawford discovered his wife’s body floating in the lake behind their home. Coupled with the critical failure of his first novel, the past eighteen months have driven Alex into creative tailspin. Writer’s block nags at him. Mourning his wife devours his waking hours. It’s driving him insane. At the behest of his agent, Alex travels to the nearby town of Second Hollow to engage in a writer’s retreat. The manager of the retreat offers him a beautiful, old typewriter with which to try and beat back the block. Willing to try anything, Alex agrees.

The writing comes back with ease. Alex feels energized and creates a story about a new character, a horror writer from 40’s named Aldous Creed. But the next day Alex discovers that Creed is a very real person who used to live in Second Hollow — something everyone in the town is all too aware of. Alex can’t figure it out; is he going crazy? How did he not know this? Convinced he just wasn’t paying attention, Alex continues to write on the typewriter, crafting a terrifying ghost story. But the more he writes the more he discovers that the things he writes about are actually real — or perhaps are becoming real. Unable to turn away, Alex begins to investigate how this could happen, but the truth behind the reality of Aldous Creed could lead him to the point of no return, and the ghost of his wife is waiting in the wings.

My latest novel is now available exclusively as an ebook on Amazon.com. Currently it’s priced at $.99, or FREE if you’re an Amazon Prime subscriber. However, starting tomorrow, 02.12, through Thursday 02.16, a ruthless echo will be free for everyone as part of a promotion. Tumblr, this is a book that took me a long time to write and ruminate over, and part of the freeness is me saying “thank you” for your support with my first novel, The Icarus Void. I hope this will resonate with you all, and I will repost the link once the free promo goes live tomorrow.

Thanks, guys.
